Chicks dig the long ball. In fact, chicks dig the long ball so much they are often willing to put up with you striking out a shit ton if it means you get a lot of long balls.
But some guys are masters of getting the long ball without King too often.
If you look below, there's a whole clusterfuck of guys showing that, in general, the more power you have, the more you strike out. But a few BIG BALLERS are flexing hardcore.
Obviously, the main big baller here is David Dodd of Jersey Shore. Dude is almost ISOing .400. Insane. .387 is his current mark. Will be interesting to see how much he can hold that up for.
A couple of other big ballers include, Davidson of Springfield, Daniels of Fresno, Bates of Beech City and Owens of Vista. Owens currently is the only player to ISO > .300 and K less than 5% of the time. Between him and Dodd its a toss up of which you'd rather have. A few more ISO points or a few less K'S?
I am very interested to follow the progression of this throughout the season. I predict this blob will start to get tighter and we'll be able to draw a nice line that will show a relationship between striking out more and hitting for power.
I am excited to see how long and how far out of the blob Dodd, Owens, Davidson, Daniels and Bates will remain as the season progresses.
