- 0.86 WHIP (4th in BSA)
- 6.45 H/9 (7th in BSA)

- 5.69 K/BB (7th in NL)
- 3.0 WAR (7th in NL)
So the question needs to be asked. Why does BSA hate Jose Moran?
Is it because his name sounds like he is from central America but when he is actually from Steamboat Springs, Colorado? Is it because he was drafted by Hendersonville? Is it because he has been traded 3 times? Is it because no Plymouth ever gets real credit because the only reason for success is the park they play in and the defense behind them? Whatever the reason we are going on the second year where the league does not want him to be an All-Star. When asked about the snub all Moran had to say was "At least I was on the ballot this year." Moran was later asked to give a reason why a year later we are still in the same spot with him when it comes to the All-Star game. "I guess it is because I am better at home than on the road." Moran has a 2.13 ERA in Plymouth and a 2.34 ERA away from Play Rocks field.
For the second straight year Plymouth GM has gone to bat for his starter saying "I don't know what the league is looking at when they are voting for All-Stars but Moran's numbers speak for their self. He is one of the best pitchers in all of the major league much less just the National league."
Despite the obvious snub the Plymouth Rocks are still sending 5 players to BSA's mid summer classic. Rocks participants include pitchers Jose Martinez, Dave Smeddon and Robinson Gonzales along with hitters Roberto Garcia and Roy Patrick.
