(VIS SEPT PR) The Drought Is Over 2

The Panthers have finally gotten themselves out of their second and longest drought in team history, and best believe Vista is lit af rn (translates to 'excited' )

Homegrown players like Dave Jackson, Bob Cunningham, Justin Burgess have played a huge role in getting the Panthers to the promised land.
But even more surprising is the talent on the DL.
Dante Owens, Randy Mailman, Juan Cortes, Mark Wells and rookie Andrew Cane, all important to the Panthers, have spent a lot of time on the DL.

Even more surprising is rap talent of the players on Vista's DL.
Excited about the prospect of getting their team to the playoffs, Owens, Mailman and Caine did what most 20 somethings would do with a lot of free time, a lot of money and nothing better to do would do - make a mixtape.
Little known to the rest of the league, Dante Owens likes to make beats in his free time using FL studio.
In addition to being a culinary master, Mailman is also a solid rapper - a la Action Bronson.
Rookie Andrew Caine grew up in the small town of Townsend, Montana. A town with a population of 1,978 of which 0.2% are black. That means, Andrew Caine's family were the only black people in his entire town. His mom, his dad and himself. There is also a 0.9 black guy somewhere. Anyways, Andrew really loves rap because he couldn't' relate to anybody in Townsend. So he was always on the internet meeting people from around the world. He'd actually be trying to be a rapper if he wasn't so damn good at throwing a baseball.

Lil’ Panthers Present - The Drought is Over 2 (Mixtape review)
1.Tha Panthers 3 (Intro)

2.Did It Before (ft. John Doby, Shizue Chouda and Cipriano Montanez)
  • On this smooth banger, Panther Legends Doby, Chouda and Montanez reminds the league that they did it before. 5 times in 6 seasons. Montanez asks, "Shit I wonder if they know that we did it before" ? Well, we do now Cippy, we do now.
3.Kush
  • A few BSA teams play in a state where marijuana is legal (Pikes, Panthers, Noise, Gang Green, Bruins, Bandits, Deplorables) but no GM has been as outspoken about his love for the plant than the Panthers GM. The players appreciate Calhoun's acceptance and created this anthem to explain why the team plays so much better than they probably should.
  • Dante Owens is probably the biggest pot head of the entire team and let's everyone know in this songs hook: "Yeah, and we smoke that kush / Yeah, that kush / Yeah, and we ball like swoosh / Yeah, like swoosh"
  • Catchy Hook Dante, but this isn't basketball.
4.Something You Forgot
  • A sad Mailman, Cane and Owens wonder if their team mates have forgotten them while they sit on the DL on this heartfelt track  "But I hope you haven't forgot about me / Up in the livin' room watchin' Sports Center"
5.S̶c̶a̶r̶Mailmanface
P Randy Mailman #33
Age: 32 | Bats: S | Throws: R | Morale: Great

6.World Of Fantasy (ft. Cisco Gatan)
  • Mailman dominates this track. Having joined the BSA at 17 after running away from home at 16. He's proud he's been able to fend for his own. "Left home at 16, I ain't never been back. When it come to being broke they say I never been flat"
7.Help (ft. Tim Fulgham)
  • Panthers coach calls for help on a track recorded during the midseason. With all his players on the DL he felt he had no hope. The Panthers traded for a couple of relievers and a 2B but most of the help ended up coming from within.
8.I'm A Beast
  • Dante Owens let's everyone know that while he is on the DL, he still thinks he's one of the best "No, never entertain the suckers with the hating bidness/I'm on a yacht playing table tennis / Expensive linen, women sinnin"
9.Pussy MVP
  • And if you didn't feel Dante is the BSA MVP, he reminds us that he should definitely be the Pussy MVP on the mixtapes final track.

Go Panthers.
Fuck the Pikes.
Good luck to all in the playoffs except Seattle and Especially Nassau.
