GM Shoes has made 19 trades during his tenure, which began midway through the 2021 season. Below is a breakdown of these trades by teams and years. (For these purposes, a trade is only when a player is sent from both teams, meaning I am leaving out any purchases where only money is sent from one team)
I already knew Plymouth was a major trade partner, but it surprised me that the second highest was intradivision team Kansas City. Colin and I have never made any blockbuster deals, but still, getting any trades done within a division is usually difficult. So Cal and St. Louis are the only other organizations that I have made multiple deals with. In my experience, getting a trade done has less to do with the players on each team and more to do with the affability of GMs. I must admit I am surprised by how few teams I have dealt with, however, as it looks like I have yet to make a deal with 60% (18/30) of the general managers in the BSA. This is probably a reflection on my own lack of tact and charm more than anything else.

Enough About me, here's some interesting records being broken around the league.
At 5.39, the Austin River Sharks are experiencing their worst ERA in team history. The first 18 years of the org never saw the team break an era of 5, and yet 2028 will now mark the third consecutive year above that mark. Yikes. The good news is the BABIP is at an all-time high as well, although that might simply mean their defense is every bit as bad as the pitching. Manny Copriviza is 4 runs away from 1500, so that's nice.
Jesse Little is currently atop the Baffin Island rankings for K/BB at a hefty 7.22 strikeouts for every walk. He is also ranked 10th in Beavers history for k/9, with #'s 1 through 9 being Robert Reeves' past 9 seasons (lol).
The Boston Rebels are basically the River Sharks on steroids. You thought a team ERA of 5.39 was bad? Try 6.39. Franchise worst and it's not even close.
Maui is in the process of setting a franchise record-low attendance at about 700k. They're bringing in less than they did during the 117 loss season a couple years ago. Sadly, Barry does not seem too concerned. The upside is team payroll is also at a record low so they have lots of room to add players if they feel like it.
The Chicago Machine have one player writing his name in the history books this year. 2022 3rd round draftee Mr. Aaron Thrash has come up through the Chicago system and is now atop the leader boards for both complete games and shutouts in Chicago's history. Despite a 5+ ERA this season, Thrash has pitched 4 complete games this year, with 3 of them being complete game shutouts. The previous record for the Machine was 1 CG shutout so he looks to have that record locked down for many years.
For expansion teams like the Kalamazoo Royale with Cheese and the Nassau Rockets, setting records can be a bit easier. Both teams are on pace for a franchise high win total, and it is too close to call at this point which will finish higher in 2028. In Kal, Donovan Bird has the organizations highest slugging percentage and OPS, while Don Ramey is breaking those same records in Nassau. As they always say, hitting wins championships.
For the Jersey Shore D-Bags, Dave Dodd is now 16 runs away from having crossed the plate more than any other player in team history. If he doesn't break it this year, he will next year, when he also looks to take the all-time team lead in hits at 2442. Current D-Bag hit leader Mike Bryant was the real deal, though.
The Nashville G-Strings have thus far in 2028 put up the second lowest team ERA in the past 15 years, and they've done it with the second lowest player payroll in team history (lowest was 2027). The team W-L record isn't great yet but there are signs of a bright future.
Springfield is so grateful to have been graced by the presence of Mr. Felipe Guerrero all year. Besides breaking the BSA single season RBI record, he has also hit for the cycle and had 3 walk-off winners for the Stars. Even more impressive, he has hit six grand slams in the past 348 days.
2028 marks the 9th consecutive year the San Francisco Bandits have managed to avoid breaking the 1M mark for attendance. As a matter of fact, San Fran hasn't even had more than 750 thousand fans pass through their gates in a decade. All this after averaging right around 3 million fans per year for the first 11 years in their history. What a turnaround.
The New Orleans Looters are in the middle of a heated playoff race with both the Rockets and Beavers. If they can pull it off, 2028 will mark the first time since the pre-2010 era that the Looters have reached the postseason in 3 consecutive years. The team's all-time 2nd best batting average of 0.278 is a big part of the success. What's more, Arturo Sanchez's 12 triples have clobbered the old team record of 8. Looks like he will be wreaking havoc on the NL South for the next decade.
The Vista Panthers are enjoying the best team ERA in their history, at 3.24. This could still change, of course, but they've only been under 3.50 one other time in history, the 100 win 2019 season. It's a real team effort here as there haven't been any individual pitching records broken for the Panthers, despite impressive performances across the board. With a staff like this it will be hard for Vista to miss the playoffs this year.
Division rivals Seattle Pikes are doing their best to spoil Vista's fun, though. The Pikes are also enjoying a franchise best ERA, at an astounding 2.97. If things stay as they are, Seattle would have the 2nd best ERA in CL history, after the 2014 Toronto Titans at 2.82.
The Greenville 84s were watching an MVP season unfold from Paco Rosas (Holy shit Moose! Can't believe he just got injured) Rosas went out with dislocated shoulder in late August and will finish the year with 8.3 war. His 0.373 average is a franchise record, and his 0.645 SLG % was 3rd for the organization. Had he finished out the rest of the season it is safe to say he would have broken the club's single season WAR record. Heartbreaking.
Despite all the injuries, there is one thing going right for the Irvine Gang Green, and that's Masutaro Koyama. Koyama's 1.62 era and 0.895 win percentage are both team records at this point. They aren't league records yet, due to insane years from Reagan Wear and Eduardo Trujillo, but the possibility still exists.
Last but not least, Earl Wiggins is making his mark in the long and storied history of the So Cal Bruins. His 1.056 OPS and 0.650 SLG % are both team records, which surprises me considering the dominance the Bruins have had in BSA history. His 8 war in 2028 is already a franchise record, which makes me wonder how this team has won 100 games more often than not. Quantity or quality apparently.
