Houston Marshals pre-season PR: Season Preview

The Marshals had a relatively quiet off-season, not making any big splashing news...mostly because of the team's financial situation. "We're still buried for another couple of seasons", said GM Michael Carroll. "The good news is that we will still field a competitive team in that time frame, while continuing to draft for the future". With a whole lot of nothing going on, a quick glance at this season's squad is basically deja vu all over again. Same old faces in the same old places. Here's how it will look:
Rotation:
Carlos Tavarez
Braydon Schute
Daniel Grant
Jose Hidalgo
Stan Aldridge
Jose Gonzales - will get the occasional 6th start to keep pitches down on the others. Expect 8-10 starts this season
Bullpen:
CL Pablo Cabral
8th Alfonso Ramos
7th Edward Cadel
MR Vinicious Itaquay
MR Dave Rhodes
MR Jim Daniel
Long/Emergency Jose Gonzales
Depth Chart:
C Juan Gomez / Gustavo Diaz (Platoon)
1B Jose Rodriguez
2B Ramon Lugo
3B Matt Smith
SS Jim Tracy / Gregg Nelson (Platoon)
LF John Peterson
CF Alex Rosado
RF Sado Kimura
DH Lewis Barr
Line Up
2B Ramon Lugo
DH Lewis Barr
3B Mike Smith
1B Jose Rodriguez
LF John Peterson
SS Jim Tracy /Gregg Nelson (platoon R/L)
C Juan Gomez / Gustavo Diaz (platoon R/L)
RF Sado Kimura
CF Alex Rosado

The team's expectations are relatively reasonable...don't fall apart too fast. The hope is that this season will land Houston somewhere between 90-94 wins, keep the park full, and keep the money rolling in.

Thank You,

Michael Carroll
